The VSS Library is open 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday, most school days. |
Vernon Secondary School’s Library Learning Commons is a spacious and well-lit area with room for up to about 72 students at a time. In the LLC you will have access to about eighteen thousand books, magazines, videos, and encyclopedias, 32 desktop workstations, and 52 laptops. Most of our non-fiction books are on the second floor mezzanine, while our history & geography, fiction, graphic novels, large format and reference sections are all on the main floor. We also have a sets of headphones, headsets, external DVD drives, and mice, plus a variety of charging and connecting cables for loan. |

Passwords for our online resources can be obtained from your school library staff. Most will now use the same student number (or email) and password as you use for school computers. |

Our Library has 30 Windows-10 desktop workstations (with the full slate of Adobe Creative Cloud programs), and 52 ChromeBook computers, that students can use to access the Internet (including our Library catalogue and On-line Databases subscriptions) and access either of their cloud based apps and storage solutions (Microsoft’s Office 365 or Google’s G-Suite). |
