Locally Awarded Bursaries or Scholarships

There are numerous locally awarded bursaries and scholarships for students within our school district.

Local Scholarship applications will be open in March 2024. More information will be available in the new year (2024) from your school counsellor.

A summary description of available scholarships will be available February 2024.

For information on our Changemaker Scholarship please send your inquiry to scholarship@sd22.bc.ca.

If you are the recipient of a locally awarded scholarship, please take the Certificate of Registration to your college/university to be filled out, as the funds will be paid to them directly and applied to your student account.  Please be patient – depending on your college/university, this can often take up to 2 months to show on your student account.

If you have received a cash award, please fill out the form with your contact information and a cheque will be mailed to you.

District Project Scholarship Program

Each year the Ministry of Education allots our school district several scholarships worth $1,250.00, based on the number of students enrolled in Grade 12. Winners receive a Scholarship voucher to be used to attend a college or other post secondary school. In School District 22, candidates entering the District Project Scholarship Program must plan and complete a project to demonstrate a particular skill or interest outside of the regular school curriculum.

The application form for the 2023/2024 program will be available shortly. Check in with your school sponsor or administrator for the guidelines and form to register. Deadline is November 24, 2023.
