Hello Okanagan Landing Families: June is upon us! It’s hard to believe that we are entering the final month of this most unusual year next week. Thank-you all once again for your patience and flexibility as we navigate through this pandemic. As you are aware, things in the province are changing (for the better). However, the school district and all of the schools in the district will be maintaining safety precautions for the duration of this school year. Our fingers are crossed that we will be starting the fall with a much more open campus. However, as we are still in cohorts, we will be doing our final morning playground move beginning this Monday, May 31. I have included the map so that you can remind your children where they are to go Monday morning and, of-course, Mrs. van der Meer and Mr. Wandeler will be out to greet students and remind them of where they need to go.
We have noticed a few email and phone contact errors in our system recently. If you have a new phone number or email address, or if your emergency contacts have changed, please let Mrs. McCord know by calling the office or emailing email@example.com.
If you are planning to move over the summer, please let us know. Staffing and class placement are based on how many students we have in the school at each grade so this is important information for us.
We have some fun events coming up in the next few weeks:
June 8 Final PAC Meeting @ 6:30 (ZOOM)
10 Primary Sports Day
11 Intermediate Sports Day
16 Welcome to Kindergarten @ 3:15
18 Div. 6-16 Beach Day
28 Div. 1-5 Beach Day
29 Final Day for Students (10:30 dismissal)
30 Final Day for Teachers
I hope you enjoy the wonderful weather this weekend. We look forward to seeing you again on Monday.
