December 3 Weekly Update

Posted on December 03, 2021

We have kicked off the month of December full of energy.  The mild weather has allowed the kids to enjoy the playground and the GaGa pit remains a popular outdoor activity for all grades.  You might have noticed that the two birch trees from the front of the school have been removed.  They were rotting and needed to be removed to keep our playground safe.  We hope to plant some new trees in the spring to replace those we removed.  We will also be installing flagpoles in the spring.

Our entry is decorated for the holiday season thanks to a great group of Leadership students under the guidance of Ms. Brown and preparations for the filming of the Christmas concert are going well.  The warm cloths, toys, and food for hampers are beginning to pile up and we truly appreciate the generosity of our school community.  We will continue to collect items until the holidays.

We are still hoping to receive spirit wear before Christmas and the PAC fundraisers are expected on Monday.  Thank-you everyone for your patience as weather events interfere with shipping lines.

I have attached two documents to this week’s update:  the Health-promoting Schools newsletter and a Strongstart poster.
