Grad Scholarship Information

On Monday, October 23 at 6:30 in the Theatre at KAL, we will have an information session on scholarships for Grade 12 parents and students. Our counselors, Mrs. Knight and Mr. Lefurgy, will be covering how to apply, entrance requirements, and information on ministry, district and provincial scholarships.

Grad Bottle Drive – January 11

Please collect your bottles and then drop them off at KAL on Thursday, January 11 from 8:00AM to 3:15PM. We also have a KAL Grad 2024 account at Interior Freight and Bottle Depot, 4205 24 Ave. You can drop off your bottles and cans throughout the year and just let them know to put the money toward the KAL Grad 2023 account. WHAT YOU NEED TO GRADUATE
Starting in Grade 10 you have a lot of choice about what you learn.  In order to graduate with a Dogwood, every student in the Graduation Program has to pass certain basic courses, including English, Math, Socials Studies and Science.  The table below gives an overview of what you need to graduate:

  1. 7 REQUIRED courses
  2. 4 ELECTIVE courses
  3. Graduation Transition Plan and Interview

Preparing now will help ensure you get the credits you need to achieve your goals.  Graduation requirements are introduced in CLE 10.  For more help please ask for assistance from the school counsellor.
