To streamline how students access their emails, at 8:00 am on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11th, 2022, SD22 will redirect student emails from Microsoft Outlook to Google Gmail. This is being done to allow students to continue to use Gmail as their primary email, but without a separate username and password.

This change is only happening for student accounts. SD22 staff will still receive emails in their Outlook.

PLEASE NOTE:

The email redirect will affect the following:

After TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11th, students will not receive any new emails to their Outlook inbox. Students will need to access new emails from Gmail.
Students’ login information will not change. They will still login using their sd22.bc.ca username and password.
Previously received emails currently in Outlook will still remain in the Outlook inbox (or another folder a student may have chosen).
Previously received emails currently in Outlook can be forwarded by the student to themselves to have it appear in their Gmail inbox.
Students can send emails from Outlook. Any reply to that email, however, will appear in Gmail.
