Principal’s Report

We have a busy few weeks left of this school year. On Friday, June 10th we are having a student celebration in the afternoon. It is our “Fun in the Sun” day and there will be lots of games and activities available for the students including such popular activities as the dunk tank and slip and slide. We are very grateful to our Parent Advisory Committee who have organized for Andrew Allen to put on a concert on our field during this time. Free burgers and cake will also be provided to our students.

We are completing the last of this year’s literacy and numeracy assessments for our grade 10 – 12 students during the week of June 13th. Our graduation ceremony is taking place on June 17th at Kal Tire Place and will begin at 4pm sharp. Anyone can attend this event and no tickets are required. This year’s graduating class consist of very mature, accomplished, and sophisticated students. Parents and guardians of the Grad Class of 2022 should be very proud of their accomplishments. Supergrad is taking place at Fulton on June 18th and is only for those students who are graduating. Last day of classes is June 21st. Course completion days are June 22nd and 23rd and teachers will contact families if your child is required to attend those days.

This year also marks my last year as principal of Clarence Fulton. I will be moving to VSS in August as the principal. I have greatly enjoyed my time here and the opportunity to get to know all the students and some of their families. My move is made easier knowing that Mr. Mike Edgar will be the new principal of Fulton. Mike has been the VP here for the past five years and is excited about this new opportunity. Mrs. Angela Salmon will take over as the new vice-principal. Our school is in excellent hands with great leaders.

I wish you all a very safe and relaxing summer and all the best in the new school year.
Lynn Seed,
Principal
