Program Description
The 12-week, Gateway to the Building Trades Program is designed to provide female students with both practical and theoretical experience in a wide variety of building trade sectors. Students will gain the first-hand knowledge necessary to make an informed choice about a career in the trades. Students will learn practical skills and industry requirements for a variety of trades and also how to access training,
apprenticeship, and employment.
In addition to gaining first-hand experience in building trades, students will gain industry knowledge through research and guest speakers. Employability skills that are crucial for employment in the trades will also be
